§ 12.25-1. Mechanical code adopted, incorporated by reference.

  • For the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the installation of mechanical systems, including the alterations, repairs, replacement, equipment, appliances, fixtures, fittings, and/or other appurtenances, including ventilating, heating, cooling, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, incinerators, and other energy related systems, including permits and penalties, there is hereby adopted that certain building code known as the Standard Mechanical Code, the current edition and all subsequent amendments and editions thereto, and Appendix A, Guidelines for Estimating Heat Loss and Gain, and Appendix C, Procedures for Determining Thermal Resistance (R) Values for Air Distribution Ducts and Plenums; and, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended, of which not less than one copy has been and now is filed in the Office of the clerk of the town, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as fully as if set out at length herein, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the town.
