§ 12-25. Definitions.

  • Peddler means a person who offers for sale at private residences any goods, wares, merchandise, clothing, magazine or any other tangible item.

    Peddling means when any person goes upon private property or inside of a private residence for the purposes of offering for sale any goods, wares, merchandise, clothing, magazine or any other tangible item.

    Solicitation means soliciting or asking for funds, money or gifts upon public streets, roads or highways or at private residence-to-private residence (house-to-house).

    Solicitor means a person who engages in or assists in the act of solicitation.

    Street vendor means a person who offers for sale on public highways, streets, roads or rights-of-way any goods, wares, merchandise, clothing, magazines or any other tangible item including, but not limited to, agricultural and food products.
