§ 13-29. Operation of emergency vehicles.

Fire apparatus, police cars and ambulances on emergency calls shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter; provided however, that emergency warnings shall be given by the respective fire apparatus, police cars and ambulances, by the sounding of sirens. In such event all other traffic shall promptly move to the side of the street and shall stop until the emergency apparatus or equipment has passed.
