§ 18-16. Deposit for gas meter prescribed.

A customer of the municipal gas system, prior to receiving gas service shall deposit the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00) with the town, which deposit shall be refundable when gas service is terminated, provided that all accrued charges for gas service have been paid. This section shall apply only to gas service furnished to property which is not owned by the user of such service, but is occupied by said user under lease or other similar arrangement. Further, a transfer fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) shall be charged to water and/or gas customers moving to another address within the town limits.
