§ 2-22. Old age and survivors' insurance—Coverage for eligible officers and employees.

It is hereby declared to be the policy and purpose of the town to extend the provisions of R.S. 42:1001 et seq., providing social security to eligible officers and employees of the town. In pursuance of said policy, and for said purpose, the officers of the town shall take such action as may be required by applicable state or federal laws or regulations.
