§ 4-8. Sale of impounded animal upon failure to redeem.

If an owner or keeper of an animal impounded and advertised as provided herein as estray does not come forward and prove his ownership and pay all impoundment charges within ten (10) days, excluding the day of advertisement and sale, the town shall sell the same at public auction at the mayor's courthouse door, to the last and highest bidder.
