§ 8-18. Establishment of office of fire prevention official; enforcement responsibilities.

The code adopted in section 8-17 shall be enforced by the fire prevention official, who shall be appointed by the mayor. The fire prevention official shall serve at the pleasure of the mayor, except that the council may, by unanimous vote, remove the fire prevention official for cause after full opportunity has been given him to be heard on the specific charges.
